Anthony D. Fredericks, an award-winning children’s author, will be visiting MacAfee Road School on Wednesday, April 6^th. Fredericks’s books focus on animals, the environment and nature studies.

Fredericks’s book “Under One Rock: Bugs, Slugs and Other Ughs” was one of only two children’s books given the 2002 Ecology and Nature Award. His book “Around One Cactus: Owls, Bats and Leaping Rats” was recently selected for the 2004 Teacher’s Choice Award by the International Reading Association.

Fredericks is the author of 30 children’s books. His titles include “Cannibal Animals”, “In One Tidepool”, “Surprising Swimmers” and “Tsunami Man” among others.

Fredericks will share his books with the students and visit classrooms throughout the day. The public is invited.
