Dear Students, Parents, Guardians of Conerly Road School:

The 2008-09 school year is about to begin. We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to school and sharing with you the many enhancements we have made in our educational program for Pre-K to Grade 4. I know that many of you will be attending Back-to-School Night. We appreciate the many parents who will join us to meet your child’s teacher and learn about what our students will accomplish this year

We expect that your children will approach learning with a positive attitude and that they will, with your support, complete their assignments on time and to the best of their ability. We are ready to provide the support they need to make this happen. It is expected that your child will come to school with all necessary materials including texts, assignment books, homework, and projects. Being prepared with the necessary materials increases the chances of having success with learning

It is our belief that the education of the children at Conerly Road School is a shared responsibility with both parents and students. Therefore, throughout the year you will be hearing messages from teachers and the school administration about not only our responsibilities but also yours. While you have expectations for what the educational program will provide, we also have expectations about what will happen during the balance of your child’s school day.

Our goal is to increase the commitment to supporting and working with all members of the school community, maintain continuous improvement in a cooperative learning environment and continue our tradition of excellence that produces continuous growth and success for all students at Conerly Road School .
