The elementary years are a critical developmental time in your student's life. Elementary students are beginning to develop their academic self-concept and their feelings of competence and confidence as learners. Additionally, students are learning decision-making, communication and life skills, and core character values. Students are discovering who they are by developing their personalities and unique attitudes toward school, their peers and families, social groups and, most importantly, themselves.
My job is to provide proactive leadership through education and prevention/intervention services to all students. Elementary years serve as the foundation for future success and therefore, early identification and intervention of a student’s academic and personal/social needs is essential in promoting academic achievement. Please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions or concerns you may have. I will have drop-in hours every morning between 9:15-9:45 and every afternoon between 3:30-4:10. I am looking forward to supporting you and your children and helping to make this a wonderful school year!
