• Students often ask me about scholarships.  There are 4 that I know of for Latin:
    • National Latin Exam scholarships.  Students who receive a gold award on the National Latin Exam who are seniors will receive info in the mail.
    • Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey scholarships.  I am a member of this organization and I welcome Latin 4 students to try out for this opportunity.  There will be a picture prompt and students will have to write in Latin and thus evaluated on grammar, use of vocabulary, etc.  Deadline to apply for this falls in December, so be prompt!
    • Junior Classical League scholarship: your child has to be a member of the Junior Classical League and there are certain requirements such as taking classics courses in college or desiring to be a Latin teacher.  There are state scholarships that you interview for at state convention.  There are also national scholarships.
    •  JCL honor society: there are also scholarships just for honor society members.
    • CAAS scholarship (Classical Association of Atlantic States): up to $5,000 available for classical summer study!  Please have your children look into this for our trip abroad or for JCL nationals!  Due by DECEMBER 15th!
    • PLEASE have your seniors ask me about these and I will help them with requirements.  Sooner rather than later!
