• MISSION OF THE JUNIOR RESERVE OFFICERS' TRAINING CORPS-JROTC

TO MOTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BE BETTER CITIZENS

JROTC prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American citizens. The program is a stimulus for promoting graduation from high school and it provides instruction and rewarding opportunities that will benefit the student and the community

JROTC is not a recruitment program for the military, participation incurs no obligation toward military service. The JROTC program is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline.

We are extremely proud to report that the Franklin High School JROTC Program has been awarded the Honor Unit of Distinction by the Department of the Army (US ARmy Reserve Officers' Training Corps) for the school year 2016-2017 in recognition of their exceptional performance in all areas of the JROTC Program.
