Free Meals

  • The US Department of Agriculture has waived restrictions for the 2021-2022 school year so all students will be eligible for free meals during the 2021-2022 school year.

    full meal must be taken by the student.  For example, a student cannot bring lunch from home but request just a free drink or side order. 

    Milk will be available for purchase (.50 cents) for those who do not take the meal or bring their lunch.

    A limited number of snacks will also be available for purchase starting in mid-September. 

    Student families may wish to consider this information when funding their child’s meal account.


  • Nutritious Meals Help Students Stay Focused and Successful in School!

    The students in Franklin Township Public Schools have access to breakfast in the classroom as well as a nutritious lunch.  Many families may be entitled to receive these meals at little or no cost.  To find out if your child(ren) is entitled to free or reduced cost meals this year, you can:

    Pick up a paper copy of the Application at the Food Services Office located at 2301 Route 27, Building #1, Somerset, NJ  08873.
