• The Franklin Township Public Schools Safe Return Plan provides some details about how the district will apply the current guidance from the Federal, state and local governmental, educational and health agencies when all of our staff and students return to in-person instruction in September of 2021. This Safe Return Plan references many of the procedures and protocols which the district used in the 20-21 school year when the district was operating on a full remote and hybrid pivot program.  These can be found in more detail in the FTPS Restart and Recovery Plan for the Reopening of Schools.

The Safe Return Plan below was shared with the Board of Education and the Franklin Community on June 11, 2021 and was available for public comment through June 16, 2021.  The District Safe Return Commitee (formerly the Restart and Recovery/Reopening Committee) reviewed the final version of the Safe Return Plan which addressed and incorporated where applicable, the comments offered by the community.

There were comments submitted which were more specific and better addressed in a Frequently Asked Questions document, which also appears on this page.

The Safe Return Plan is also part of the Federal American Rescue Plan Act ESSER III Application and as such will be reviewed every six months.  A summary of the Safe Return Plan was included in the ESSER III Application.
