Mrs. Gaye McGee
Dear Franklin Park School Families,
I am excited for the upcoming school year. I am incredibly grateful and excited to be a part of the FPS family. I look forward to working in partnership with Mrs. Stein and you to continue the work of advocating for and providing all students and families with an excellent educational experience. I am keenly aware that I am joining a strong school culture synonymous with excellence, dedication, and collaboration. My goal is to enhance these characteristics through collective knowledge and creativity of our students, staff, and families.
Prior to joining FPS, I was a Dean of Students, Honors Math teacher, and 4th Grade Classroom teacher. As my career unfolded, I developed a love for sharing my knowledge with adult learners as a professional development facilitator and Achievement Coach. My academic background includes Post Master’s Gifted & Talented and Principal Certifications from Montclair State University, Masters of Education in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Rutgers University, and Bachelors of Arts in Human Ecology with a concentration in Elementary Education from Montclair State University.
I will work diligently with Mrs. Stein, our faculty, staff, and you to establish collaborative relationships, key to helping ALL STUDENTS achieve their highest potential. My role as FPS’ vice principal affords me the opportunity to work with teachers and staff on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to students’ growth and learning happening in classrooms. Diversity and inclusion are pillars of my educational philosophy. I am committed to continuous professional growth and ensuring educational equity for all students.
I have been so fortunate to call the Somerset/Franklin Park area home since 2006. My husband Charles and I have two children, Aaden and Avarie, who keep us very busy. I consistently draw upon my unique perspective/experiences as both a parent and an administrator. I look forward to a fantastic school year!
Warm Regards,
Gaye McGee
