    Dear Franklin Community,

At the March 29, 2011 Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget, the Franklin Township Board of Education unanimously adopted a Final Budget for the 2011-2012 school year.  The details of this Budget, which will be voted on by Township residents on April 27, 2011, are provided in the following power point presentation.

I would like to personally thank everyone who was involved in this difficult process, especially the Board of Education; the members of the Finance and Negotiations Committees; the leadership and general membership of both the FTEA and FTSSA; Mr. Calavano, Assistant Superintendent for Business/Board Secretary; my staff and the members of the community who submitted comments on the budget.

We were grateful for the thoughtful comments and suggestions expressed by the members of the community through our on line survey and at public meetings.  Where we felt that we could utilize these suggestions, we did.

I would like to recognize and commend the members of the FTEA and FTSSA for their contributions and sacrifices in helping us to balance our budget.

I urge the residents of Franklin Township to come out and vote on the Final Budget on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.

    Respectfully,

    Edward Q. Seto

    Edward Q. Seto

    Superintendent of Schools
