    2020-2021 Message

Our mission at Conerly Road School is to create a strong cooperative foundation for lifelong learning, through teaching, facilitating, and challenging all of our students to achieve to their maximum potential using 21st-century skills. We serve students in grades Pre-K to Grade 5 implementing a curriculum that focuses on reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science.  We also place a strong emphasis on Social-Emotional Learning.  Especially, during a time when students and the families are enduring a world-wide pandemic and social justice challenges that are changing the world.

We believe that in the virtual learning environment, learning activities should be engaging and manageable to accommodate all types of learners. They are designed to encourage participation, collaboration, creativity, and independence.  This is evident through our utilization of Google Classrooms, Seesaw, Zoom, and other online tools.  Additionally, our students will experience virtual musical concerts and class trips.

In the virtual space, the success of our students will be a combination of their presence and active engagement coupled with teacher training with using online tools to deliver remote instruction.  Additional resources that support this work are iReady and Ready Math.

We pride ourselves on a strong and active Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) and Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) that offers assistance to school programs and the many dedicated professional staff members at Conerly Road School
