The Franklin Township Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent. The purpose of this page is to provide updates on the progress of the search.
In the Spring of 2014, the Board of Education chose the search firm of Hazard, Young & Attea Associates to conduct a search for appropriate candidates for the position of Superintendent of Franklin Township Public Schools and to present those candidates to the Board for interviews.
The firm began the process by providing opportunities for input from the Board of Education members, administration, teachers, staff, parents and community members in three areas: the strengths and weaknesses of the district and the most important qualities of a successful Superintendent.
Based on the responses received from these groups via interviews, community forums and an on-line survey, the firm developed a presentation on Leadership Criteria. This presentation, which was shown to the Board and public at the Board of Education meeting on June 19, 2014, is posted on this page.
Based on that Profile the firm will seek qualified candidates, submit their resumes for Board review and schedule interviews with the Board.
Several Special Board of Education meetings have been scheduled for the purpose of resume review and candidate interview. These meetings will be held on July 22; July 23 and August 6 between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 pm. All meetings will be held in the Middlebush Building Conference Room at 1755 Amwell Road, Somerset NJ.
