Report Cards for the 2023-2024 School Year
We are happy to continue implementing a standards-based elementary report card, which began in the 2019-2020 School Year. This new format was the product of evidence-based research and collaboration among teachers, content supervisors, principals and senior administration. Parent/Guardian input had also been a critical part of this process, and we believe these report cards will continue to give parents/guardians valuable feedback that will enable more meaningful discussion between teachers and parents/guardians to provide greater support for our students.
On the pages that follow you can find
- presentations on the report card format that were originally shared when launching the report card in 2019;
- frequently asked questions from parents and teachers that were originally shared when launching the report card in 2019;
- screencasts explaining the report card format that were originally shared when launching the report card in 2019. Please note: the GOLD platform is currently only being used at the PreK level.
On this page you can find sample report cards for each grade level as well as a rubric for each grade. The rubric explains the specific skill indicators that we expect our students to master at their grade level by the end of the year. These rubrics have bookmarks on the document which will take you to each content area and the skill indicators which our teachers will be looking for in that area.
As in year's past, each student's elementary report card will be available through the Genesis Parent Portal. A link will be provided in Genesis to this page to access the rubrics below.
The report cards and their accompanying rubrics are also available in Spanish below.
