Updated: All District Schools That Applied Have Achieved Certification as Future Ready Schools

Elizabeth AVenue School and MacAfee Road School have joined Franklin Middle School (FMS), Sampson G. Smith School (SGS) and Conerly Road School (CRS) as being certified as Future Ready Schools.  These schools took part in a process last school year which culminated in the submission of evidence in the areas of Leadership, Education and Classroom Practice and Technology Support and Services.  After reviewing the evidence presented by these schools, all three of the Awards Committee sub-groups recommended their certification. One additional school, FPS, is waiting word on their certification.

Future Ready Schools – New Jersey (FRS-NJ) is a program created by the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), and the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) to support digital learning readiness in schools. The program offers support to teachers in updating their pedagogy and educational practices and promotes the success of teachers and schools by using them as models for other schools.  This is done though a certification process which attests to the school’s effective digital learning policies and practices.

We congratulate our Supervisor of Instructional Technology, Building Principals and the members of the Future Ready Teams at these schools for a job well done.
