Legal Notices - Notice of Public Meetings

On June 30, 2025, Governor Phil Murphy signed S-4654 into law, which amends the legal notice requirements under the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA). Beginning March 1, 2026, public entities must publish their legal notices on their website, rather than in newspapers.

Until March 1, 2026, public entities can comply with OPMA either by posting notices in a newspaper or on their website. In a proactive approach, the Franklin Township Board of Education will begin phasing into this process. Below you will find public notices as of January 2026.

All meetings to begin at 6 pm, except: the April 30, 2026 Special Meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. The additional meeting of Monday, May 4, 2026 will begin at 7:30 pm. The Special Meeting scheduled for May 15, 2026 will begin at 7 pm.

Special Public Meeting Time Change and Cancellation

The start time of the Special Meeting of the Franklin Township Board of Education scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2026 has been revised from 6:00 pm to a start time of 6:30 pm.

The Special Meeting of the Franklin Township Board of Education scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026 at 6 pm has been cancelled.

The Special Meeting of the Franklin Township Board of Education scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 6 pm has been cancelled.
